I want to open a small to medium audio recording studio, but I don't even know where to start. Help me please?

I know this venture would be considered a small business and a recording studio is in high demand in my community. In this facility I would also like to provide other items to sale, that would also intrigue a recording artist. I would appreciate any and all advice.
